Express Entry

What is Express Entry

Express Entry is the Canadian government’s online immigration application system. We can help you complete your online profile. Candidates with high rankings are invited to apply for Canadian permanent residency.

How is Ranking Determined

We can help you create an Express Entry profile by uploading all the required information to the online website. Once we do this, your application will be ranked according to a points system. We can calculate in advance what your ranking will be, to inform you on ways to improve your ranking. Some of the ways to earn points include:
• Your education level;
• Your abilities in English and/or French;
• Your work experience and skills;
• Your age;
• If you have a job offer in Canada; and
• Your spouse’s education, language abilities and work experience.

Is Using Express Entry a Requirement?

Express Entry is required if you are planning to apply for Canadian permanent residency under one of the following streams:
• The Skilled Worker Program
• The Skilled Trades Program
• The Canadian Experience Class
(See Work in Canada below for more details on each stream)
You may also be selected from the Express Entry pool for certain provincial nominee programs being operated by provinces or territories.

What Happens Next?

Your Express Entry application will be entered along with all the other eligible applications from people around the world. Canada immigration authorities will then rank you against other applicants. The number of points you have will determine where you will be ranked. Immigration authorities will send you an invitation to apply (ITA) for permanent residence that you must complete by a certain date.

How can Tradewinds Immigration & Visa Services Help?

We can work on your behalf to help prepare the strongest possible application by assessing your case to determine the best approach, suggesting ways to improve your ranking, identifying documents you need to provide, and submitting your completed application.
